Welcome to my little corner of the internet...
There are only a few rules in Libby's Kitchen: make fresh where possible (there's more love in something made from scratch), zero pretension, flexible recipes that can be enjoyed by veggies and carnivores alike, and clean up properly afterwards!
The ideas behind a lot of these recipes come from being a life-long vegetarian, now with a carnivorous boyfriend (who loves his food). I take after my mum in that I'm a natural feeder and show my love through food, so I was insistent on learning to cook his favourite meat dishes (luckily for me, cooking meat isn't an issue, as long as I don't have to eat it!) Along the way, I've found that by taking his favourite dishes and working out a veggie alternative for myself, my vegetarian meals have massively improved! I'm exploring flavours and combinations that I wouldn't be using otherwise.
So with this food blog you'll find my exploration into different cuisines and dishes, sweet and savoury, meat and veggie. With this recipe creation it's all an experiment and with any luck we'll learn something along the way!
